Zebra Pattern Cuffs

I have been practicing making Cuff Bracelets using hammered bezels.  Boy am I feeling it in my hands. All that hammering to get the right shap need for my cuffs.  The cuff to the top was wrapped , and the bottom one was wrapped then made to look like hair of a zebra.   So what do you think?

Zebra's Gone Wild!

This Necklace is 42 inch's in length. All the beads are handcrafted including the pendant. I used aluminum sheet metal to cut out this fantastic heart out then hammered to my liking. I used polymer clay zebra pattern clay to frame it with. In the center I added a bit of flair with the tiny faux diamonds & glitter, topped with epoxy resin. I used silver plated wire to make the bail. If you look closely, you will see that the ring that the bail is on is has been soldered. Which I am proud of because it was my first time doing so :) I am so happy how this turned out.

So, The right thing to do is show some love for our Cities team. I thought I might try making a few of my Team Spirit Hearts for those Jag Fans out there. I will have some of my Dangle Bracelets made this weekend. Alot of hammering to do with those. :)

Faux Dichroic Glass Pendants

Here are a few new designs that I am doing. I am very please with my molds that I purchased. This Technique is called : Faux Dichroic Glass

Here is the finished product. I really love how the Bails complement the pendants. At first I was going to just run a leather cord through them, but after seeing what they looked like, I wasn't pleased at all. It made them look cheap. After adding my own touch with my own bails I thing they turned out beautiful.  Posted by Picasa

Mothers Yellow Roses

My Mother always loved yellow roses, God rest her soul. She has been gone since June,6th,1996. Her Birthday just past, so.... I thought I might do something special. I remember on Mothers Day one year purchasing a yellow rose tree for her so that she would always have them. I thought that I might name this set of flower pendants for her.

Each petal is hand molded and carefuly put together to resemble a yellow rose. The backing is also handcrafted using a Hammered Bezel, which I added a brown lace cord too.

Here is another ring I made using Faux Pearls, handmade copper head pins and ring. This is a size 8.

Handmade Glass Floral Ring

Not too long ago I learned how to make my own copper wire head pins. After purchasing the tools to melt the wire, I struggled with getting it to melt. Dummy me was not doing it right. After many tries here are the end results Each bead has one of my very own copper head pins.

Changing Seasons Pendant

Up above is a pendant that is incomplete. When designing this pendant I was thinking about all the fall leaves falling off the tree's, now that it is September. My favorite time of the year is the spring and fall. When God desides to put his artist abilities to work.

Finished Piece, added Bail.

Hand Crafted Mother of Pearl & Faux Pearl Beaded Necklace

My Husband was so kind to take the grandchildren and myself to find shells over the Labor Day weekend at one of the local beaches. Our two grandchildren had a field day collecting shells for me. Out of the shells Where large shells that had mother of pearl on them. I used to think they were large fish scales until my grandaughter found one with a muscle in it. I have read that Mother of Pearl come from sea shells. So, putting those two clues together, I am guessing that this is mother of pearl. I could not capture the colors in the necklace, It is very pretty in person. The long beads I purchased .

Sea Life Pendant

Ah' Sea Life. This handcrafted pendant was made using mica powders, epoxy resin,  and we can't forget the polymer clay. I absolutly love the beaches here in Florida. Have you ever watched the Discovery channel  about shows on ocean life. There are so many living beautiful things in there. I though that I would just capture a few for my pendant here.
